...Under Construction

September 7, 2003

Following the previous hard drive problem on my server, I've had to re-install and reconstruct much of what was lost.

The hard drive, naturally, was not backed up. Strange how insistent I am that others always back everything up, and yet I failed to do the one simple thing that would have saved me over three years of stored e-mail archive and a great deal of content I would have preferred keeping.

Still, it grants the opportunity to do something new. The new CMS system, which should be a great deal more quick and not nearly as CPU hungry, is called MovableType, and once configured, is an order of magnitude faster to work with than the old PostNuke system.
