Current ping list...

November 24, 2006

I'm just trying to pare down my list of outbound pings; I thought it might be useful to get some feedback from people out there on what the common RPC ping URLS to set up are.

This list was taken from a much longer list; I've removed all of the sites that were either language-specific (french only, german only, japanese only) or threw 302/404 errors, and corrected where I could.

This leaves me with a pretty long list of outbound pings - but is probably by no means complete or correct. Not included are technorati.com, weblogs.com, and blo.gs - because those are tickboxes on my Movable Type install, and so it isn't necessary to add those to the "others" list. My current list of RPC pings is as follows:

http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2
http://api.my.yahoo.com/RPC2
http://www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates
http://blog.goo.ne.jp/XMLRPC
http://bulkfeeds.net/rpc
http://ping.bitacoras.com
http://ping.blo.gs/
http://ping.bloggers.jp/rpc/
http://ping.blogmura.jp/rpc/
http://ping.feedburner.com
http://ping.myblog.jp
http://www.syndic8.com/xmlrpc.php
http://ping.weblogalot.com/rpc.php
http://pingoat.com/
http://rpc.blogbuzzmachine.com/RPC2
http://rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/
http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping
http://rpc.weblogs.com/RPC2
http://topicexchange.com/RPC2
http://api.feedster.com/ping

Either post corrections here, or send them via e-mail; I'll keep this list up to date with the ones I'm currently using at any point in time.
